THE
SOUTHERN TAP
STORY
The origins of Southern Tap home-brew lie in a little place called Tai Tapu, near Christchurch in the South Island, New Zealand. Here, father and son Mal and Jordan Ryder have dedicated their lives to the perfection of the tastiest low-carb dry cider crafted from goodness alone. A selfless pursuit. They’ve personally had to test gallons of it.
CHAPTER 1
ONCE UPON
A TIME
Mal has been brewing for over 40 years, so dry craft cider runs in Jordan’s blood. Young Jordan would trail after dad, lending a hand, and eventually shipping a few out the fridge when the coast was clear. And so came the time when father and son took their obsession and backgrounds in engineering and business, and started a new chapter for the benefit of dry cider lovers everywhere.
CHAPTER 2
DOING THE
HARD YARDS
Travelling far and wide to study home-brew products, they found some less than average examples. What most kits lacked in natural content they made up for in chemicals, sugar and hangovers. So, building on their own expertise, the boys researched everything, tracking down the finest fruits and brewing gear, developing and refining until at last – Southern Tap was ready to launch.
CHAPTER 3
EXPLORING
THE UNIQUE
Our low carb, dry French Apple Cider home-brew was our first kit and we could have stopped there. But well on their journey, Mal and Jordan just had to go looking round the next corner. Finding nothing else like Southern Tap, opportunity grabbed them by the collar – a range of authentic low-carb kits in exciting flavours would quite likely be a world first.
CHAPTER 4
READY TO LAUNCH
And so Southern Tap brings you a tempting, tasty range of dry craft cider home-brew kits full of real fruit and goodness. We know you want all-natural, low carb, low sugar and no nasties or sticky sweetness. You can have it. Refreshing perfection comes in French Cider Apple, Strawberry, Passionfruit and Lemonade. Enjoy.
